PTOs are mainly used on mobile equipments and vehicles for giving drive to auxiliary units such as tipper (dump) trucks, compactors, snowplaughs, road sweeper, truck mounted cranes, recovery vehicles hooklifts, fuel tankers, asphalt spreader etc. It is installed to the output which is located on main transmission.

PTOs which are mainly used in hydraulic superstructure of the vehicles has 15-150 different models. The reason why PTO has many different models is because; both it can be varied according to the type of main transmission and there are many other extra features which are different from each other. That means that every vehicle doesn’t have any specific PTO. Additionaly, it can be produced according to the superstructure that you are planning to build.

CLASSIFYING OF PTOs;

1- PTOs can be installed to the side, rear and the bottom of the main transmission.

2- PTOs can have single gear and double gear.

3- PTOs can be mechanical control, pneumatic control, vacuum control or electrical control.

4- Installation between Hydraulic pump and PTO can be ISO (4 bolts mounting), UNI (3 bolts mounting) or remote flange in order to let you use the PTO with Shaft.
